Juvenile Accused of Making Terroristic Threats

On Nov. 9 police say they responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Riverside Drive, where a juvenile allegedly threatened a resident of the home. According to police, the threats "put substantial fear in the mind of (the) victim, to where she believed her life was at risk." Police did not provide any information about what provoked the alleged incident.

Juveniles Accused of Stealing Bicycle from School

On Nov. 12 police say they arrested two 16-year-old male juveniles after they were found to be in possession of a Haro SSP BMX bicycle valued at $280.90 that was stolen from on Nov. 10. Police said the juveniles were Saucon Valley students and were apprehended at Saucon Valley Bikes, 824 Main St., Hellertown. According to police, both juveniles were charged with theft and receiving stolen property before being released to the custody of their guardians.

Man, Woman Charged After Allegedly Being Found Behind Former Pathmark Store

On Nov. 13 police say they arrested two people who were found in the vicinity of the loading area behind the former Pathmark supermarket on Route 378. According to a police department press release, Stanley Jasinski, of Coopersburg, was arrested for DUI "and other violations" after he was found by police "pulled back into the loading area" at about 5:34pm. Jasinski's wife, Tara B. Merritt, was charged with disorderly conduct after police say she was observed "having her pants down and urinating next to the vehicle."

Man Arrested for Alleged PFA Violation

On Nov. 19 police say they arrested Jay Pichel, of the 2500 block of Applebutter Road, Lower Saucon Township, for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse (PFA) order against him. Police said Pichel was in violation of the PFA when he was at an address in the 2300 block of Riverside Drive. He was later arrested at his home, they said.

Man Cited for Disorderly Conduct After Allegedly Making Lewd Gesture

On Nov. 20 police say they cited Richard C. Kovacs Jr., 35, of the first block of East Union Boulevard, Bethlehem, following an incident that allegedly occurred on Easton Road west of Bart Garden Drive at 4:45pm. According to police, Kovacs was cited for disorderly conduct and careless driving after he allegedly illegally passed another vehicle on the right shoulder of the roadway "at close proximity." Police say Kovacs allegedly gave the driver of the other vehicle "the middle finger" while he did so.
