Man Dumped 'Multiple Trash Bags' Along East Redington Road, Police Say

On April 28 police say Robert J. Delmere Jr., 35, of the 300 block of Hawthorne Lane, Whitehall, was cited for scattering rubbish, after he allegedly dumped multiple trash bags along the side of East Redington Road. Police said in a press release that Delmere had been paid to dispose of the garbage.

Man Cited for Allegedly Violating Burn Ban

On May 6 police say officers were dispatched to the area of Seidersville and Hickory Hill roads, after a large amount of black smoke was seen in that area. Police said the smoke was determined to be coming from the yard of Evelio Torres, who lives in the 1200 block of Seidersville Road. "Torres was burning refuse/yard waste, including a couch cushion, during a county-wide ban on burning," police said in a press release. He was cited for a violation of a township ordinance on open burning, they added.

Woman Rear-Ended Vehicle on Friedensville Road, Police Say

On May 9 at 10:25pm police say Ellen Powers, of the 800 block of Juniper Road, Hellertown, was behind another vehicle on Friedensville Road when her car slid on the wet roadway and struck the rear bumper of the vehicle in front of her. Police said in a press release that the leading vehicle had stopped to make a left turn onto Duh Drive. Minor damage occurred, but no injuries were reported as a result of the accident, police added. Powers will be cited for "Driving at Safe Speeds," according to the press release.

Police: Man Was Upset That Car in Front of Him Was Traveling Too Slow

On May 10 at 2:39pm police say Ryan Cawley was attempting to turn into his driveway on Easton Road near Wilhelm Road when a vehicle that was following too closely behind him prevented him from doing so. In a press release, police identified the driver of the second vehicle as Jeffrey Welty, of the first block of Butternut Road, Williams Township. When Cawley was unable to turn into his drive, he decided to continue further down the road in order to turn around. However, as Cawley passed his driveway, police say Welty passed him and caused a collision as he returned to the proper lane of travel. "(Welty) admitted to the same, but was upset due to (Cawley) traveling at a speed that he thought was too slow," police said in the release.

Man Arrested for Allegedly Fleeing and Eluding Police

On May 12 at 2:13am police say Lloyd Anthony Ohl, of the 6100 block of Limeport Pike, Upper Saucon Township, failed to stop when signaled by police to do so. Police said in a press release that they attempted to stop Ohl on Route 378 for driving with an extinguished brake lamp and an expired registration. Ohl then allegedly led police on a pursuit into Upper Saucon Township. Police said the pursuit ended when Ohl struck a utility pole, disabling his Dodge Ram 2500 in the 2100 block of Oakhurst Drive. Ohl was arrested for Fleeing and Eluding Police and cited for several moving and equipment violations, they added.

Man Cited for Alleged Burning Ordinance Violation

On May 13 at 7:56pm police say Andrew Hitcho III, 24, of the 3700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike, Lower Saucon, was cited for a violation of the township's Burning Ordinance. Police said in a press release that Hitcho was cited after he allegedly "created a nuisance when excessive smoke and odor crossed property lines."

Man Cited for Alleged Dog Law Violation

On the morning of May 13 police say Jay Kosik, 44, of the 3800 block of Cannon Avenue, was cited for failure to obey dog confinement laws. Police said in a press release that Kosik's dog reportedly urinated and defecated on the lawn of Ryan Post, 27, a Cannon Avenue neighbor.

Juvenile Caused Accident at Leithsville, Springtown Hill Roads, Police Say

On May 14 at 7:46pm police say a Lower Saucon Township youth pulled out from Springtown Hill Road onto Leithsville Road and struck a northbound vehicle occupied by two juveniles from Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County. Police said in a press release that the accident was witnessed by a township police officer. Following the accident, both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The vehicle operator from Lower Saucon will receive a citation for "Stop Signs & Yield Signs," police said. There were no injuries sustained in the accident, although the driver from Upper Black Eddy went to St. Luke's University Hospital as a precaution, they added.
