Man Cited for Trespassing at Long Ridge Development

On Dec. 31, 2011 at 9:31am police say an officer was patrolling when he "came across a vehicle secluded towards the back of (the) Long Ridge development." The development, which is located near Bergstresser and Drifting drives, "is currently undeveloped...still under ownership and deemed private property," police said in a Jan. 29 press release. Police said the driver and occupant of the vehicle was identified as Walter Reiss, of the 1500 block of Livingston Street, Bethlehem. Reiss "had no legitimate purpose to be on the property and began to become belligerent" after the officer made contact with him, according to the press release. Police said a charge of trespassing was filed against Reiss after the owner of the property confirmed that he did not have authorization to be there.

Man Arrested for DUI Near Sanbrook Apartments

On Jan. 20 at 3:04am police say an officer was monitoring traffic in the area of Route 378 and Black River Road when he observed a red Ford Focus being operated erratically. Police said in a Jan. 29 press release that the car was stopped on Black River Road near the Sanbrook Apartments, and that its driver was identified as Thomas Thompson, of the 1100 block of Main Street, Hellertown. Thompson displayed signs of intoxication, according to police, and was subsequently arrested for DUI and taken to the Bethlehem DUI Center for processing.

Township Man Allegedly Made False Report to Police

On Jan. 23 at 2:53am police say Matthew Citrola, 22, of the 2000 block of Fieldstone Drive, Lower Saucon, was eastbound on Reading Drive east of Bingen Road when he lost control of his car on a patch of ice. Police said in a press release that Citrola's car left the roadway and struck a tree, and that a passenger in the vehicle was taken to St. Luke's Hospital after complaining of neck pain. According to police, "Citrola initially stated he was driving the vehicle but then changed his story and accused another occupant of driving." Police said that at the police station Citrola later "admitted to lying and stated he was in fact the driver of the vehicle." Citrola has been charged with False Reports to Law Enforcement, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed, Expired Inspection and Expired Registration, police said.

Maryland Man Possessed Fake ID, Police Say

On Jan. 25 at 8:25pm police say they stopped Harrison Colby, of the 11700 block of Split Tree Circle, Potomac, Md., on Route 378 at Colesville Road. Police say Colby was stopped for a traffic violation and was subsequently found to be in possession of a false identification card, for which he was cited.
