Man Arrested for DUI on Route 378 Near Koehler Drive

On Sept. 14 at 12:53am police say Dylan Perkins, of the 1800 block of Easton Avenue, Bethlehem, was stopped on Route 378 near Koehler Drive for faulty equipment on his vehicle. In a press release police said Perkins displayed alcohol-related signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for DUI, as well as possession of a non-prescribed narcotic. A passenger in Perkins' vehicle--identified as Andrew Weber, of the 300 block of East Fairview Street, Bethlehem--was also arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

On Nov. 17 at 11:57pm police say Peter Patwardhan Jr., of the 7500 block of Easton Road, Ottsville, was stopped at Route 412 and Flint Hill Road for motor vehicle violations. In a press release police said Patwardhan displayed signs of impairment at that time. "Based upon testing...Peter was arrested for DUI," police said, adding that he was also found to be driving under suspension. Patwardhan's vehicle "also was found to have numerous violations and not (to be) permitted upon a roadway," according to authorities.

On Nov. 18 at 1:59am police say Thomas Flannery, 25, of the 3200 block of Bursonville Road, Riegelsville, was stopped on Lower Saucon Road for speeding. Police said in a press release that Flannery was was found to be under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .18 percent. Police added that he has been charged with DUI.

Man Arrested for DUI on Springtown Hill Road

On Nov. 22 at 2:39am police say officers were dispatched to Springtown Hill Road for a motor vehicle accident. Police said the driver of the vehicle that crashed was identified as Jacob Denis, of the 1700 block of Highview Lane, Upper Black Eddy. "It was learned that Jacob was traveling to (sic) fast for a curve and lost control of the vehicle," police said. Denis "did poorly" on field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested and charged with both DUI and careless driving, they added.

Police: Man, DUI, Drove in Excess of 85mph on Route 378

On Nov. 25 at 2:05am police say Michael Kiefer, of the 3500 block of Station Avenue, Upper Saucon Township, was stopped on Route 378 after he was allegedly observed traveling in excess of 85mph in a posted 40mph zone near the I-78 overpass. Police said in a press release that Kiefer was found to be under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .18 percent. He was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI, they added.

Juvenile Charged With Marijuana Possession

On Nov. 30 at 7:27pm police say officers initiated a traffic stop on West Raders Lane and detected the odor of marijuana in the stopped vehicle. Police said in a press release that "a partially burnt marijuana joint was located under the driver seat of the vehicle," and that a juvenile was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana as a result.
