Man Charged with Fleeing and Eluding Police
On Dec. 6 at about 9:46pm police say Timothy Webb, 33, of the 700 block of Atlantic Street, Bethlehem, fled and eluded officers after they attempted to stop his vehicle on Rt. 378 North at Mountain Drive North. Police said in a press release that Webb led officers on a chase that continued into the City of Bethlehem and ended when he crashed into a parked vehicle. Webb then fled on foot, police said, but was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a controlled substance. After being taken to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said Webb was committed to Northampton County Prison on an active warrant. Webb is charged with fleeing and eluding, possession of a controlled substance and multiple traffic violations, according to authorities.
Man Arrested for DUI, Possession of Marijuana Following Traffic Stop
On Dec. 11 at 1:05am police say they stopped Richard Newman, of the first block of West Main Street, Macungie, for allegedly traveling at 59.3mph in a posted 40mph zone on Route 378. Police say Newman was subsequently determined to have a blood alcohol concentration of .08 percent, and that during a K9 search of his vehicle "a jar of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe were recovered." Newman has been charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, police said.
Man Wanted By State Police Arrested Following Traffic Stop
On Dec. 12 at 4:38pm, police say they stopped Anthony Emilio Troncoso, 29, of the 1800 block of Norwood Street, Bethlehem, for allegedly speeding and driving a vehicle without a muffler on Black River Road at Dartford Road. Police say Troncoso subsequently identified himself as another person, and that after discovering his true identity, "it was learned that there was a warrant for his arrest out of (the) state police (barracks at) Bethlehem." It was also discovered that Troncoso was driving under suspension, police said. Troncoso was committed to Lehigh County Prison under the state police warrant and will be charged with presenting false identification to police, speeding, driving under suspension and driving a vehicle without a muffler, police said.
Juvenile Arrested on Harassment Charge at High School
On Dec. 13 police say a 17-year-old male from Hellertown was arrested on a harassment charge after he allegedly threatened to punch another 17-year-old male in the head at Saucon Valley High School.
Girls Cited After Allegedly Fighting in High School Bus Loop
On Dec. 15 at about 2:35pm police say they responded to a fight between two juvenile females in the area of the bus loop at . Police said in a press release that the "parties were separated and both were subsequently cited for disorderly conduct and harassment for their actions on school grounds."
Police to Cite Driver Who Allegedly Lost Control on Icy Road
On Dec. 18 at about 8:16am police say they responded to a car accident on Rt. 378 north of Seidersville Road. According to a press release, upon arrival police observed Donald Russell Best Sr., 57, of the 200 block of Fountain Street, Bath, "sitting in his vehicle which was disabled from striking the curb/embankment." Police said that Best "stated that he lost control of his vehicle on some ice." They added that he will be mailed a citation for "Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed."
Man Arrested After Allegedly Stopping in Road to Pack Marijuana Into Pipe
On Dec. 20 at about 1:28am police say they arrested Andrew Charles Davis, of Polk Valley Road, Lower Saucon Township, after police encountered his vehicle stopped in the middle of the road on Riverside Drive. According to a police department press release, "Davis had stopped in the middle of the road to pack marijuana into his smoking pipe." Police said Davis has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tree Stand Reported Stolen from Lower Saucon Road Property
On Dec. 20 police say a resident of the 3900 block of Lower Saucon Road reported that her tree stand had been stolen. Police said the tree stand was mounted in a tree at the time of the theft. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department.
