Woman Drove Erratically Before Being Arrested for DUI, Police Say

On Oct. 22 at approximately 2:25am police say they stopped Lindsey Jankiewicz, of the first block of South Main Street, Quakertown, after she was allegedly observed operating her vehicle "in an uncontrolled manner" and speeding near Easton Road and Mockingbird Hill Road. According to a police department press release, Jankiewicz pulled off the road into a resident's driveway, at which time "no one (was) observed exiting (the) vehicle nor (the) residence." Police said that after a short time, the vehicle pulled out of the driveway "and continued in (the) opposite direction at a high rate of speed and again unable to stay within a single lane of travel." After police stopped the car, they say the driver was identified as Jankiewicz. She was "later determined to be under the influence of alcohol" and taken to the Bethlehem DUI center for processing, they said.

Fifteen-Year-Old Took Motorcycle Without Permission, Police Say

On the afternoon of Oct. 30 police say a 15-year-old juvenile took off on a motorcycle without its owner's permission. Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Seidersville Road for a stolen motorcycle, according to a police department press release, and the juvenile who borrowed the bike is to be charged with theft. 

Police Investigating Locks Cut on Rental Garages

On Nov. 6 police say they were dispatched to 2565 Applebutter Road to investigate a criminal mischief incident. According to police, at 4:56pm locks were found cut on two rental garages. No property was taken from the units, they added. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110.

High School Student Struck Classmate in Head, Police Say

On Nov. 9 at 2:20pm, police say they responded to Saucon Valley High School, after one juvenile student allegedly struck a classmate--also a juvenile--in the back of the head. Police said the student who did the striking will be charged with harassment.
