Woman Crashes Van Into Light Pole After Possibly Becoming Distracted

On Oct. 27 at 6:47pm police say Dorothy Francis, of the 400 block of Rolling Hills Road, Bedminster, struck a light pole while driving through the parking lot at the Creekside Marketplace shopping center, 1880 Leithsville Road. "There were no signs of intoxication (or) use of drugs," police said in a press release. However, the impact caused Francis' van's airbags to deploy, which in turn caused a juvenile passenger to receive a bloody nose, police added. Francis "was believed to be distracted moments prior to the accident," police said.

Woman Cited for Allegedly Allowing Dog to Run Loose in Park

On Oct. 28 police say May Fun Zhong, of the 600 block of Carlton Avenue, Bethlehem, was cited for violating the township's dog law after allegedly allowing her German Shepherd to run loose through without a leash. Zhong was cited for "Confinement of Dogs," police said.

Police Seek Owner of Diamond Ring

Lower Saucon Township Police are seeking the owner of a diamond ring they say was found on Apple Tree Lane on Nov. 2. Anyone who may have lost a ring in that area is asked to contact the police department at 610-317-6110.

Couple Cited for Allegedly Trespassing on Private Property

On Nov. 2 police say John Zettlemoyer and Christine Serman, both of the 2000 block of Vista Drive, Bethlehem, were cited for criminal trespassing after allegedly hunting deer on private property in the 2200 block of Nursery Lane. The couple was hunting during archery season, police said.
