Man Arrested for DUI Near Rt. 378 and Koehler Drive

On July 21 at 3:07am police say Kevin Olswfski, of Gilbert, Pa., was stopped for speeding at Route 378 North and Koehler Drive. Police said in a press release that Olswfski was traveling at 56 mph in a 30 mph zone. After an officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage, police said Olswfski was administered and failed field sobriety tests. His vehicle was towed and his blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .14 percent, they added.

Man Arrested on Marijuana Charge Following Redington Road Traffic Stop

On Aug. 3 at 1:50am police say Manuel Santiago, of the 600 block of Gates Street, Easton, was stopped by an officer on patrol for allegedly speeding and driving across the center markings on Redington Road. Police said in a press release that Santiago was subsequently found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with both offenses, police added.

Police Investigating Cleats Theft on Saucon Lane

On Aug. 5 at 11:30am police say they investigated a report by Shannon Cassidy, 19, of the 1900 block of Saucon Lane, that her car was entered sometime during the previous night while it was parked at her residence. Police said in a press release that a pair of Puma cleats owned by Cassidy were removed from the car and later located at the intersection of Saucon Lane and Saucon Meadow Court. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110.

Police Investigating Damage to Mailboxes on Martins, Banko Lanes

Township police say they are investigating separate incidents of mailbox damage on Martins and Banko lanes. On Aug. 6 police said a mailbox on Martins Lane was kicked or pushed over, and on Aug. 9 a mailbox in the 2500 block of Banko Lane was found by its owner on the ground by the road with a large dent in it. "This is most likely related to other criminal mischief to another mailbox in the area," police said in a press release. Anyone with information regarding the mischief is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department.

Car Accident at Hess Station Leaves Woman With Minor Injuries

On Aug. 10 at 2:03pm police say a minor car accident occurred at the at Rt. 378 and Black River Road. Police said in a press release that Sarah Harley, of the 100 block of Crooked Lane, Gilbertsville, pulled out of the gas station parking lot and onto Rt. 378 North while her view was obstructed. Harley then struck a vehicle operated by Kaitlin Dooley, of the 2200 block of Washington Lane, Upper Saucon Township, police said. Dooley was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital for treatment of minor neck injuries, they added.

Easton Man Arrested on Marijuana Charge

On Aug. 10 at 4:28pm police say they stopped Michael Bosze III, of the first block of Flagler Street, Easton, at Lower Saucon and Redington roads, after it was determined that he was operating a vehicle with an expired inspection certificate. Police said that in speaking to Bosze an officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Bosze consented to a search of the vehicle and marijuana was subsequently found, police said. He was arrested and charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, they added.

Police Investigating Wallet Theft on Kevin Drive

On the evening of Aug. 10 police say Steven Solga, of the 1600 block of Kevin Drive, reported his wallet missing and possibly stolen. It was later discovered that $250 in charges had been made on his credit card at the Walmart in Lower Nazareth Township, and that $500 had been withdrawn from his bank account, police said. Anyone with information regarding the theft of the wallet is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department.

Bucks County Man Cited for Underage Drinking

On Aug. 10 at 11:40pm police say Phillip K. Bain, 20, of the 2100 block of Lisa Drive, Warrington, Pa. was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for speeding on Rt. 378. Police said in a press release that Bain was subsequently found to be under the influence of alcohol and admitted to drinking Bud Lite. Bain's blood alcohol content (BAC) was .07 percent according to a preliminary breath test and he was cited for underage drinking, authorities added.

Street Sign Damaged on Countryside Lane, Police Say

Police say they are investigating damage to a street sign on Countryside Lane that occurred during the overnight hours of Aug. 11. Police said it appeared that a vehicle attempted to turn around in an intersection and went off the roadway, striking the sign. Anyone with information about this is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department.

Vehicle Reportedly Rear-Ended at Traffic Light on Rt. 378

On Aug. 12 at 11:16am police say a vehicle operated by Charles Stephens Jr., no address provided, was "bumped" from behind while Stephens was waiting at the traffic light at Black River Road and Route 378. Police said in a press release that the driver of the other vehicle was in a blue Pontiac Sunfire. Anyone with information about the driver is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department.

Police: Car Entered, Cigarette Smoked, Change Stolen

Police say they are investigating an incident in which a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Sunderland Drive was illegally entered during the overnight hours of Aug. 12. In a press release police said someone entered the car, "smoked a cigarette, rooted through a glove box and stole a small amount of change." The car was not locked at the time and there was no forced entry, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact township police.
