Police Say Worker Attempted to Steal Money from Local Homeowner

On Oct. 5 police say William M. Petitti, 27, of the 4200 block of Pechin Street, Philadelphia, was employed by a homeowner to do work outside his home in the 2000 block of Dennis Lane. When Petitti "believed that the homeowners were not home, he traveled upstairs," police said. However, the homeowner returned after a brief time and discovered Petitti stealing a small amount of money in an upstairs room, police added. Petitti has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Man Charged with Violating Township's Burning Ordinance

On Oct. 7 at 8:48pm police say they were dispatched to a home in the 4300 block of Lower Saucon Road after a burning complaint was received. According to police, smoke from a fire on the proprety of William G. Broad was traveling across the road and off his property line at that time. Broad was cited via mail for violating the township's burning ordinance, police said.

Police Investigating Illegal Dumping of Grass Clippings on Lori Lane

On Oct. 18 at 8:35pm police say 14 bags of grass clippings were discovered along Lori Lane, off Lower Saucon Road. Anyone with information about this is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110.

Police Investigating Route 378 Burglary

On Oct. 19 at 2:11am police say a resident of the 3800 block of Route 378 reported the theft of two PS3 game systems, four controllers and cables that are required to operate the systems. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department.
