The following incidents have been reported by the Lower Saucon Township Police Department:

17-Year-Old Had .18 Percent Blood Alcohol, Police Say

On Aug. 8 at 12:05am police say they stopped a 17-year-old male juvenile for allegedly speeding on Route 378 south near the I-78 overpass. After the youth allegedly showed signs of impairment, he was taken to the Bethlehem DUI Center and determined to have a blood alcohol content of .18 percent, according to police. He will be charged with DUI, police said. The legal limit for blood alcohol concentration for individuals under 21 in Pennsylvania is .02 percent.

Police Investigating Graffiti Painted on Bridge Overpass

Police say that on Aug. 10, it was discovered that unknown persons had painted graffiti on the Bingen Road bridge overpass on the Saucon Rail Trail. Anyone with information regarding this incident of vandalism is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department.

New Jersey Man Charged with DUI Committed to County Prison

On Aug. 11 police say Justin Offerman, of Afton Drive, Florham Park, N.J., was arrested and charged with DUI and traffic offenses after being stopped on Route 378. Offerman was subsequently committed to Northampton County Prison and his bail set at $10,000, police said.

Richlandtown Rider Injured in Lower Saucon Road Motorcycle Accident

On Aug. 12 at 5pm police say Shaun Adamczyk, of Richlandtown, was involved in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident on Lower Saucon Road at Greens Drive. Adamczyk was subsequently transported to St. Luke's Hospital with unknown injuries, police said. He will receive multiple citations by mail, they added.

Police Investigating Illegal Dumping of Couches

According to police, sometime during the early morning hours of Aug. 14 someone dumped two couches in front of a home in the 2300 block of Springtown Hill Road. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110.
