Lower Saucon Native Killed in Mississippi

Christopher Cambiotti, 42, was killed Saturday in a car accident near Hattiesburg, Miss. A New Orleans police officer, Cambiotti's funeral will be held at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus in Hellertown on Monday at 10am.

A Lower Saucon Township native and law enforcement officer who was living in Louisiana was killed in a car accident near Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Saturday, the Express-Times reported.

Christopher Cambiotti, 42, was a New Orleans police officer whose father, Henry Cambiotti Sr., still lives locally, according to the newspaper.

A public viewing for Cambiotti will be held at Falk Funeral Home in Hellertown on Sunday from 6 to 8pm.

His funeral service will be held at St. Theresa of the Child Jesuson Monday at 10am, and his burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

According to the Express-Times article, Cambiotti was a passenger in a sports car that was struck by an SUV.

A Bethlehem Catholic High School and Moravian College graduate, he was a 15-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department and a resident of Slidell, La., the article indicated.
