Lower Saucon Family Reportedly Displaced by Fire

The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley said this afternoon that it is assisting the Steel City family.

The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley announced this afternoon that it is assisting a Lower Saucon family displaced by a fire at their home earlier today.

In a press releas, Director of Communications and Marketing Janice Osborned said Red Cross staff responded to the fire scene at 2108 Snyder Avenue at 2:24pm Wednesday.

Snyder Avenue is located in the Steel City section of Lower Saucon Township.

"The Red Cross provided food, clothing and toiletry items to a family of two adults," Osborne said. 

Osborne added the family is now staying with relatives, and said "the Red Cross will continue to work with the displaced individuals during their recovery process."
