Local Man Arrested on Drug Charge in New Jersey

Man Charged With Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana
- At 8:20 p.m. on Nov. 2, Patrolman Spencer Durkin stopped a 2004 Volkswagen Passat for a seatbelt violation on North Avenue. Following a brief investigation at the scene, Ptl. Durkin allegedly located a small bag of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Drake, 47, of Hellertown, Pa., was arrested, processed and released with a court appearance. Drake was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
