'Large Sum of Cash' Found in Township, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police said Monday that a large amount of cash was found July 7 along Saucon Valley Road and turned into authorities by a citizen.

announced Monday that they were seeking the owner of a "large sum of cash" that was found alongside or on Saucon Valley Road July 7.

Police said in a press release that the cash was found Saturday afternoon and turned in by a citizen.

On Tuesday, police updated local media with another press release about the missing money.

Police said the cash had been returned to "its rightful owner."

Authorities did not say how much money was found, or how the owner of the missing funds was correctly identified.
