'I Pay Your Taxes' Said Man Rear-Ended by Dump Truck: Police

Lower Saucon Township Police say they are seeking information about a man who was rear-ended by a township dump truck on Bingen Road near Friedensville Road.

Lower Saucon Township Police say they are investigating a hit-and-run accident that involved a township public works employee.

In a news release police said the accident occured at about 9:40 a.m. April 25, when township dump truck driver Jeremy Frey made contact with the rear bumper of a newer maroon Chevy Tahoe as both vehicles were eastbound on Bingen Road, approaching the intersection with Friedensville Road.

Police said the impact occurred "when the Tahoe slowed for traffic," and resulted in "a small scratch approximately 1 inch in length" on the Tahoe's bumper.

When the driver of the Tahoe stopped and got out to check the damage, police say he told Frey "I pay your taxes" before getting back into his car and driving away at high speed.

Police said "the Tahoe was last seen traveling south on College Drive out of the township."
