Woman Arrested for DUI at Main and Water Streets

On Sept. 11 at 12:18am police say Margaret M. Vietro, 65, of the 100 block of Saucon View Drive, Bethlehem, was stopped for traffic violations at Main and Water streets. Police said in a press release that Vietro was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI and was determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .14 percent. She will be charged with DUI, they said.

On Sept. 15 at 11:54pm police say Lauren Ashely Kyle, 23, of the 2000 block of Velvet Trail Lane, Lower Saucon Township, was swerving within a traffic lane on Main Street. Police said in a press release that Kyle was also observed to stop for a red light approximately 100 feet from the intersection where the light is located and without any traffic in front of her. Kyle was then stopped in the 100 block of Main Street and determined to be under the influence of alcohol, according to police, who said she failed field sobriety tests and was determined to have a blood alcohol content of .17 percent. Kyle will be charged with DUI, police said.

Vehicle Windows Smashed on Cedar Road

On the morning of Sept. 19 police say they responded to the 300 block of Cedar Road for a report of criminal mischief. Police said in a press release that someone intentionally smashed two windows on a vehicle, causing an unknown amount of damage. The damage occurred during the overnight hours, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Hellertown Police Department at 610-838-7040.

Front Street Man Arrested on Marijuana Possession Charge

On Sept. 18 at 10:08pm police say they responded to the 700 block of Front Street for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. Police said in a press release that Richard A. York III, 19, of the 700 block of Front Street, Hellertown, was subsequently found to be in possession of marijuana, for which he has been charged.
