Men Arrested on Drug Charges Outside Bar

On July 27 at 12:41am police say officers were dispatched to the rear of Beer Mussels, 1214 Main St., for a report of "suspicious activity involving several males inside a white sedan." In a press release police said the officers made contact with the men upon their arrival at the scene. At that time the officers allegedly observed drug paraphernalia, and police said Apostoli Constantine Mouras, 22, of the 600 block of Main Street, Hellertown, and Christopher A. Sciascia, 22, of the 2000 block of Easton Road, Lower Saucon Township, were subsequently arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shortly after midnight on Sept. 3 police say a truck bed toolbox and metal dolly were discovered in the middle of the Saucon Rail Trail just north of Water Street. Anyone who is missing similar items is asked to contact the Hellertown Police at 610-838-7040. 

Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession Following Main Street Traffic Stop

On Sept. 10 at 2:39pm police say Luis Rodriguez, 22, of the 500 block of Ontario Street, Bethlehem, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1700 block of Main Street. Police said in a press release that following an investigation Rodriguez was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and arrested. A criminal complaint against Rodriguez will be filed, they added.

Sandbox Stolen from Bachman Street Home, Police Say

On Sept. 10 police say it was reported that a green Little Tykes turtle-shaped sandbox was missing from a home in the first block of Bachman Street. Police said in a press release that the sandbox was stolen. Anyone with information about the missing sandbox is asked to call police at 610-838-7040.

Hit-and-Run Accident Reported in Crossroads Hotel Parking Lot

On Sept. 12 at 1:59pm police say a motorist reported a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot at Matey's Crossroads Hotel. Police said the victim's vehicle sustained damage to its driver's side. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call borough police at 610-838-7040.

Valley Excavating Vehicle Target of Mischief, Police Say

On Sept. 16 at 2:28am police say a Valley Excavating vehicle that was parked in the yard at the business--which is at 1700 Clauser Street--was the target of criminal mischief. Police have asked that anyone with information about the incident contact them at 610-838-7040 or 610-759-2200.
