Woman Charged in September Traffic Accident

On Sept. 1 at 8:58pm police say they were dispatched to an accident at Main and High streets. Police said in a press release that an investigation determined that driver Meghann E. Geyer, 25, of the 2200 block of Green Pine Lane, Lower Saucon Township, was under the influence of a drug at the time of the crash. A blood test indicated that "Geyer had Zolpidem in her system," they added. Geyer has been charged with DUI (Drugs), according to authorities.

On Sept. 16 police say Tanya Lyn Staats, 41, of the 600 block of Main Street, Hellertown, was stopped in the 600 block of Harris Street for a vehicle code violation. Police said in a press release that she was arrested for DUI after it was determined that she was under the influence of alcohol. Police said a passenger in Staats' vehicle was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, for which he has been charged. Police identified the passenger as Jose Orlando Olivieri, 48, of the 1900 block of Creek Road, Bethlehem. Staats was determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) over the legal limit of .08 percent and has been charged with DUI, police said.

Man Arrested on Marijuana Charge Following Main Street Traffic Stop

On Oct. 5 at 10:14pm police say Brandon James Gillen, 20, of the 3400 block of Nazareth Road, Palmer Township, was stopped in the 1700 block of Main Street for a vehicle code violation. Police said in a press release that Gillen was determined to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a consent search of his vehicle. Charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia have been filed against him, police said.

Man Arrested for DUI on Main Street

On Oct. 9 at 10:58pm police say Thomas Paul Williams, of the 6800 block of Wards Lane, Upper Saucon Township, was stopped on Main Street for a vehicle code violation. Police said in a press release that Williams was subsequently determined to be under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Bethlehem DUI Center, where he submitted to a blood test. The test determined his blood alcohol content (BAC) to be over the legal limit of .08 percent, police said. Williams has been charged with DUI, they added.

Man Arrested for DUI in 1400 Block of Main Street

On Oct. 12 at 6:43pm police say Vincent James Amato Jr., 55, of the 2300 block of Rowe Lane, Lower Saucon Township, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1400 block of Main Street. In a press release police said Amato was arrested for DUI following an investigation. He was administered a blood test at the Bethlehem DUI Center and determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .11 percent, they added.

Police: DUI Driver Had .28 Percent Blood Alcohol Content

On Oct. 21 at 12:38am police say Arthur Mitchell Jr., 35, of the 3000 block of Klein Street, Allentown, was stopped in the 1500 block of Main Street for a traffic violation. Police said in a press release that Klein was subsequently arrested for DUI following an investigation. He was determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .28 percent and has been charged with DUI, they added.

Man Arrested on Warrant Following Traffic Stop at Park

On Nov. 3 at 3:04am police say James Richard Erney Jr., 21, of the 200 block of Main Street, Hellertown, was stopped at Water Street Park. Police said in a press release that Erney was subsequently taken into custody on an active warrant. Erney has also been charged with "False Identification to Law Enforcement," police said.
