Man Arrested for DUI After Allegedly Failing to Dim High-Beam Headlights

On June 25 at 12:19am, police say Dean Reiman, 45, of the 2000 block of Kally Ridge Road, Lower Saucon Township, was northbound on New Jersey Avenue when he failed to yield to an oncoming police vehicle and failed to dim his high-beam headlights to oncoming traffic. After Reiman was stopped near Apple Street, police say he was given field sobriety tests, which he failed. Reiman was arrested for DUI and was determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .15 percent, police said.

Sign Stolen at New Pet Supply Business on Main Street

On July 12 at 11:46am police say they received a report of a stolen sign at . Police said the sign was on the sidewalk in front of the business when it was taken. Anyone with information about the missing sign is asked to contact Hellertown Police at 610-759-2200.

Light Bulbs Broken at Reservoir Park Pavilion

On July 14 at 9:15am police say a borough employee reported to them that property had been damaged at in Lower Saucon Township. Police said in a press release that between 3pm July 13 and the time when the criminal mischief was reported, someone broke approximately 18 light bulbs in the park pavilion. The damage to the light bulbs was estimated at $20. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Hellertown Police Department.

Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Items from Auto Parts Store

On July 15 at 4:26pm police say Nathan Diehl, 34, of the 1700 block of Railroad Avenue, Lower Saucon Township, was apprehended as he was leaving the , 7 Main St., Hellertown, with a motorcycle battery, fuel conditioner and a can of spray paint that he had not paid for. Police said the items were valued at approximately $95. Diehl will receive a summons for retail theft via mail, police said.

Police Investigating Theft of Lawn Mower on Northampton Street

On the afternoon of July 16 police said they received a report of a lawn mower theft from the rear yard of a residence in the 300 block of Northampton Street. Police said the lawn mower was described as a red and white gas-powered push mower from Sears. The mower was last seen on July 2, police said. Anyone with information about its theft is asked to contact the Hellertown Police Department at 610-759-2200.
