Traffic Stop Leads to Recovery of Stolen Street Sign, Police Say

On Dec. 3 police say a traffic stop at Kiernan Avenue and Main Street led to the recovery of a stolen Allentown street sign and the discovery of a small amount of marijuana. Police said in a press release that Benjamin Reichenbach, of the 6900 block of Snowdrift Road, East Allen Township, was driving a white Volkswagen sedan when he was stopped at 9:45pm for vehicle code violations. Police said both Reichenbach and passenger Samantha Irene Torres, of the 400 block of North Seventh Street, Allentown, were determined to be in possession of the street sign and the marijuana. Police added that Reichenbach was driving without insurance, and said his vehicle was impounded at the scene. Both Reichenbach and Torres were charged with the theft of the street sign and possession of a small amount of marijuana. They were released pending court action, according to police.

On Dec. 6 at 2:16am police say they stopped John A. Guillion, 63, of the 700 block of Morvale Road, Williams Township, for alleged traffic violations in the 1500 block of Main Street. Police said in a press release that Guillion was subsequently arrested for DUI following an investigation. They added that his blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .12 percent.

On Dec. 14 at 2:32am police say Venessa Lynn Ojeda, 21, of the first block of West Spruce Street, Bethlehem, was stopped in the 1700 block of Main Street for vehicle code violations. Police said in a press release that Ojeda was subsequently arrested for DUI. She was determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .21 percent, they added.

Men Arrested for Marijuana Possession in 1700 Block of Main Street

On Dec. 18 at 12:28am police say they stopped a vehicle for code violations in the 1700 block of Main Street. In a press release police identified the occupants of the vehicle as Bryon L. Allison, 25, of the 500 block of West Kings Highway, Coatesville, Pa., and Douglas Richard Shapero, 23, of the 200 block of Bridge Street, Phoenixville, Pa. Police said the men were found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, for which they have been charged in district court.
