Juvenile Possessed 'Synthetic Cannabinoids,' Police Say

On Nov. 23, 2011, police say they were dispatched to Cherry Street for a drug investigation involving a juvenile male. Police said in a March 29 press release that their investigation has since led them to charge the juvenile with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said the substance the youth possessed was a "synthetic cannabinoid."

On Feb. 4 at 3:14am police say Christian J. Ellett, of the 2700 block of Station Avenue, Center Valley, was stopped at Main and Penn streets. In the course of conducting an investigation, police say marijuana and drug paraphernalia were discovered in Ellett's possession and seized. Ellett has since been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and improper use of high beam lighting, police said in a March 28 press release.

Man Charged with DAI Following Front Street Traffic Stop

On March 11 at 12:36am police say they stopped Devin Lamont Drayton, 18, of the 2000 block of Hilltop Road, Lower Saucon Township, for traffic offenses in the 200 block of Front Street. "Through further investigation," police said in a press release, "police found Drayton to be under the influence of alcohol." Police said Drayton's blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .10 percent. He has been charged with DAI, they added. .

Woman Charged with DAI Following Main Street Traffic Stop

On March 11 at 3:49am police say they stopped Michelle Lynn Pietrouchie-Summers, 41, of the 4000 block of Ross Road, Bethlehem Township, for traffic offenses in the 100 block of Main Street. "Through further investigation," police said in a press release, "police found Pietrouchie-Summers to be under the influence of alcohol." Pietrouchie-Summers blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .15 percent, and she has been charged with DAI, police added.

Man Possessed 27.5 Grams of Marijuana in Park, Police Say

On March 25 at 8:46pm police say they stopped Timothy D. Smith, 27, of the 1500 block of Olympic Circle, Whitehall, for numerous vehicle code violations on West Water Street. Police said in a press release that Smith was stopped as he was leaving , and that an investigation led to the discovery of 27.5 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. Smith has since been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving with an expired inspection, driving without insurance, and disorderly conduct, police said. The disorderly conduct charge was filed because Smith allegedly fired a paintball gun in the park, according to police.

Bethlehem Township Man Arrested on Warrant Following Foot Chase

On March 28 at 10:55am police say officers located James L. Miller, 46, of the 1800 block of Fifth Street, Bethlehem Township, walking on Roth Avenue. "As an officer attempted to speak with (Miller), he fled on foot," police said in a press release. According to authorities, Miller was detained following a brief foot chase "and it was determined that an arrest warrant existed for him from the Northampton County Sheriff's Department." Miller was subsequently detained in Northampton County Prison, police said.
