The following alleged incidents have been reported by the Hellertown Police Department:

Man Arrested July 21 Was Wanted on Warrant, Police Say

On July 21 at 3:54am police say officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of Front and Water streets when they arrested a man who was wanted on an active warrant. Fredy Somoza-Cruz, 31, of the 1900 block of S. Delaware Street, Allentown, was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice, police said.

Police Investigating Damage to Car on Northampton Street

On July 24 at 11:25pm police say a pickup truck parked in the 200 block of Northampton Street was struck by paintballs, causing minor damage. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Hellertown Police Department at 610-759-2200.

Borough Man Charged After Alleged Overdose

On July 25 at 8:59pm police say they responded to the 1400 block of Hillcrest Court for a report of an unconscious man. Police said that Eric E. Frey, of Hillcrest Court, had overdosed on heroin and had to be transported to a hospital for treatment. Frey was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following the incident, police said.

Borough Man Cited for Harassment

On July 26 at 6:32pm police say officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Clauser Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Police said that following an investigation, Eric Robert Sarko of the 1500 block of Clauser Street was cited for harassment.

Borough Man Charged With Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault

On Aug. 1 at 11:04am police say officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Main Street for a report of a domestic assault. Following an investigation, police arrested Kevin Douglas Herring, 26, of 1319 Main Street, for allegedly assaulting his 25-year-old girlfriend. Herring was arraigned before District Justice Sherwood Grigg on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment, and was committed to Northampton County Prison under $5,000 straight bail, police said.
