They told police they exchanged text messages and ultimately agreed to meet at the girl’s home in Bethlehem. According to the arrest affidavit, the girl told Schuch she is 14.

Schuch also allegedly told police that he was “okay” with the girl being 14 and that he knew it was wrong to be with her.

According to the affidavit, on Oct. 7, Schuch took a LANTA bus to the girl’s house. The girl then agreed to take a LANTA bus back to Schuch’s home in Hellertown.

Then, according to the affidavit:

  • Schuch took the girl to the wooded area behind the Wendy’s at 1160 Hellertown Road, took a towel out of his book bag and laid it on the ground.
  • Schuch bit the girl on the lip, causing her to bleed. He then pinned her to the ground and held a hand over her mouth while he had sex with her.
  • The girl tried to push Schuch off of her. At one point, Schuch told police, he told her to push harder because of his “rape fantasy.”

Schuch was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

He was arraigned before District Judge Patricia Romig-Passaro of Bethlehem and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
