German Shepherd Intimidated Woman, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say a resident of the 2000 block of Susan Lane reported that a German Shepherd appeared at her door, growled, and temporarily prevented her from leaving her home.

Lower Saucon Township Police say a township resident was cited with a dog law violation after her neighbor reported that a blond German Shepherd appeared near her front door, growled at her, foamed at the mouth and temporarily prevented her from leaving her home.

In a news release about the alleged incident, police said the woman was "insistent" that the dog that had intimidated her belonged to her next door neighbor.

Ellen McManus, 20, of the 2000 block of Susan Lane, was cited even though she claimed she doesn't own a dog like the one that was described and no dog was located, police said.
