Garage Padlock Broken, Police Say

State police are investigating a case of criminal mischief that occurred at a garage in the 800 block of Browns Drive, Williams Township.

State police at Belfast said in a news release that a padlock on a detached garage in the 800 block of Browns Drive, Williams Township, was broken, and a latch on the garage's door was cut "with an unknown type tool."

Police said the incident, which happened sometime between Aug. 25 and Aug. 27, is being investigated as a case of criminal mischief.

They also identified the victim in the incident as a 41-year-old man from Hellertown.

Anyone with information about it is asked to call state police at Belfast at 610-759-6106 and reference incident number M06-1485429.

Police did not say whether anything was taken from the garage.
