Fruit Thrown at Route 412 Motorist, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township police say an orange was hurled at a motorist driving north on Route 412 on Jan. 28.

An unsuspecting motorist traveling north on Route 412 was surprised when someone threw an orange at their vehicle on Jan. 28, Lower Saucon Township police announced in a press release Wednesday.

According to police, the incident occurred at 8pm near Route 412 and Orchards Road, which is near .

The orange struck the driver's side of the car, causing an unknown amount of damage, police said.

"Similar incidents have occurred in this area in the past," they added.

Police advised other motorists traveling in the area to "be alert" and to call them if something "looks out of place."

Police had no further information about the individual allegedly responsible for the orange-toss, other than to say that they were standing at the roadside when the piece of fruit was thrown.
