Following Pursuit, Three Men Arrested for Theft

Lower Saucon Township police say the men were stealing scrap metal from a Lower Saucon Township residence when they fled into Springfield Township, where they were apprehended.

Three men from northern Northampton and Lehigh counties were arrested for theft July 13, following a pursuit into Springfield Township, Bucks County, Lower Saucon Township police said July 20.

According to a police department press release, the men were attempting to steal scrap metal--including copper pipe--from a Lower Saucon address when they were observed by the property owner in his driveway.

Police said the incident occurred at approximately 3pm.

Police responded to the area and subsequently located a vehicle operated by Justin McKeever, of the 1600 block of Newport Avenue, Northampton, that allegedly matched the description of the vehicle seen leaving the theft in progress.

McKeever was pursued into Springfield Township, where he was stopped and arrested, police said.

Two other individuals that were with McKeever were found on foot in the area and were also arrested, police added.

Authorities identified those men as Shawn Kline, of the 5900 block of Dorothy Court, Slatington, and Joshua Stein, of the 200 block of Main Street, Walnutport.
