Facebook Photo Feud Leads to Township Woman's Arrest

Sarah Stayton, 23, of Lower Saucon Township, has been charged with harassment by communication, according to police.

A Lower Saucon Township woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly posting unwanted pictures on another person's Facebook page.

say Sarah Stayton, 23, of the 1400 block of East University Avenue, posted the pictures on the account on Jan. 24.

When the owner of that account deleted the pictures, Stayton allegedly called and threatened her.

Police did not identify the owner of the Facebook account or explain how she knew Stayton, but an article published Monday by the Express-Times says the woman told police that she was afraid because Stayton had harmed her in the past.

Stayton was charged with harassment by communication.

A bench warrant was issued for her after she did not appear in court, but she was subsequently arrested and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $7,500, the Express-Times article indicated.

A March 6 preliminary hearing is scheduled for Stayton, it added.
