A Lower Saucon Township man was cited for public drunkenness after he allegedly caused a loud scene outside Revolutions at Saucon Valley on Route 378 early on the morning of Dec. 29.

In a news release issued Thursday, police said Matthew Shaud, 28, of the 1500 block of Highland Court, first attracted the attention of an officer working on assignment at the entertainment venue by twice taking alcoholic drinks outside the building.

After Shaud was warned that alcohol is not to be taken outside, police said he was "later observed...[to] pull his pants down in an attempt to urinate in the bushes in a median directly in front of the establishment with a large group of people around."

When confronted by the officer, police said he took off running, yelling "Don't tase me bro," which was famously shouted by University of Florida student Andrew Meyer during a presidential campaign visit by John Kerry.

Later still, police said Shaud was observed leaving the Revolutions parking lot in a car that subsequently returned.

At that time, Shaud—who police said was seated in the front passenger seat—was cited for public drunkenness, according to the news release.

Police said Shaud told the arresting officer "that he had not actually urinated but was pretending to do so to be funny."
