Driver Struck Median Barrier on I-78 Ramp, Police Say

State police at Belfast say an Easton man was involved in a single-vehicle accident on the I-78 eastbound ramp at Route 33 in Lower Saucon Township.

A 27-year-old man from Easton was cited for a motor vehicle code violation after police say the car he was operating traveled off the left shoulder and struck the concrete median barrier on the Interstate 78 ramp at Route 33 in Lower Saucon Township.

According to a news release from state police at Belfast, Todd J. Paolini was eastbound heading toward Route 33 north when the accident happened at 1:07 a.m. Aug. 19.

After Paolini's car struck the median barrier, it "traveled back across the highway and traveled off the right hand shoulder and struck an embankment," police said.
