Driver Struck Center Barrier on I-78, Police Say

Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast say a New York man struck the center barrier on I-78 in Lower Saucon Township after losing control of his vehicle while driving.

Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast said in a news release that a New York man lost control of his vehicle and struck a barrier on I-78 in Lower Saucon Township.

Police said Moshe Weill, 29, of Monsey, N.Y., was eastbound at mile marker 71 on the highway when the Buick Le Sabre he was operating "drifted to the right."

Weill "tried to correct this and over compensated," which was when he "lost control and traveled into the median and struck the center barrier," police added.

Police said the accident happened at 10:42 p.m. Aug. 8, and they indicated that Weill had four passengers in his car at the time.
