Lower Saucon Township police say a township man has been cited for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident involving an unattended vehicle.

Lower Saucon Township police say a township man has been cited for leaving the scene of an accident involving an unattended vehicle, after he allegedly backed into another car while pulling out of his parking space in the Giant Food Store lot at 1880 Leithsville Road Nov. 24.

In a news release, police said Dean M. Litzenberger, of the 3200 block of Bingen Road, was identified because an "unknown bystander reported [his] vehicle's description and wrote down [its] tag number."

Police said that after they contacted Litzenberger, he admitted to causing the 4:11 p.m. accident.

The car that was struck is owned by a Hellertown woman, who discovered minor front end damage to it when she left the Giant, police added.
