Driver Didn't Yield, Caused Wreck With Injuries, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say a New Hope man caused an accident that resulted in multiple injuries at Springtown Hill and Mount Pleasant roads.

Lower Saucon Township Police say a New Hope man caused an accident when he failed to yield half of the roadway to oncoming traffic on Springtown Hill Road near Mount Pleasant Road.

In a news release, police said William Waldman of the 4200 block of Tollgate Road in the Bucks County community was westbound when he struck another car operated by a Bethlehem man Aug. 23.

Police said the accident happened as Waldman rounded the corner at Springtown Hill and Mount Pleasant roads, and that both vehicles were so badly damaged that they had to be towed.

The accident also resulted in "multiple injuries," police said.

Waldman will be cited with careless driving and "Roadways Laned for Travel," authorities added.
