Dog Left Tied to Vet's Door Struck on Rt. 378: Police

A Shih Tzu named Dolly was abandoned by being tied to the front door of North Saucon Animal Hospital, police say. When the dog broke loose, she was struck by a car on Rt. 378.

Lower Saucon Township Police say animal cruelty charges are possible if the person responsible for abandoning a Shih-Tzu named "Dolly" at North Saucon Animal Hospital, 3604 Rt. 378, is identified.

In a news release, police said Dolly was left tied to the front door of the animal hospital sometime during the early morning hours on Friday.

"Unfortunately, Dolly got loose and was struck by a vehicle on Rt. 378," police said.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the dog being abandoned or who knows someone missing a Shih-Tzu named Dolly is asked to call the department at 610-317-6110.
