Dog Bit Wassergass Bicyclist, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say a dog owned by Stephen Kiefer, of Bethlehem Township, bit a bicyclist on Wassergass Road.

A Bethlehem Township man was cited for a violation of the Lower Saucon Township dog confinement law, after police say his dog bit a bicyclist in the 2200 block of Wassergass Road.

According to a police news release, the dog owned by Stephen Kiefer, of the 1800 block of Third Street, walked into the roadway and bit a township woman in the calf.

The bite to the bicyclist caused "minor puncture wounds and swelling of the skin," police said, adding that the woman was treated by EMS personnel.

The alleged incident occurred May 10 at about 5:30 p.m.
