Couple Accused of Burglary Spree Were Allegedly Addicted to Heroin

Lower Saucon Township residents Patrick Quinn, 27, of Riverside Drive, and Kelly Cunningham, 22, of Nancy Lee Court, allegedly used dozens of bags of heroin a day while they were on a four-county burglary spree.

A Lower Saucon Township couple accused of burglarizing 76 homes in four counties and stealing or damaging more than $200,000 in property were feeding serious heroin addictions at the time of their spree, according to court records cited in a Morning Call story.

According to the article, Patrick Quinn, 27, of 2131 Riverside Drive, said he was using 60 bags of heroin a day, while Kelly Cunningham, 22, of 1843 Nancy Lee Court, said she was using 40 bags of the drug each day during the spree, which allegedly lasted from Nov. 23, 2012 to May 24, 2013.

Quinn and Cunningham are each charged with 76 counts of burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass and criminal conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, and one count of attempted burglary.

They allegedly used real estate listings to identify vacant homes for sale, which were targeted for copper and other metals that were removed and later resold at local scrapyards, according to police.

None of the homes that were allegedly targeted are in Hellertown or Lower Saucon Township.
