Cops: Hellertown Woman Allowed Meth Lab in Her Home

Joan A. Hummer was sentenced Friday to eight to 23 months in prison.

A Hellertown woman was sentenced Friday for allowing a methamphetamine lab to be run from her home on the 100 block of Main Street.

Joan A. Hummer, 53, was sentenced Friday to eight to 23 months in prison, and two years of probation, the Morning Call reported. Hummer had pleaded guilty in December 2013 to the felony charge of conspiring to run a meth lab.

Authorities busted the meth lab at 166 Main St. in August, and several other high-profile raids of alleged meth labs in the Saucon Valley area soon followed.
