Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast say a car and a van ended up in the grass median on I-78 in Lower Saucon Township as a result of an accident.

A Bloomsburg man was charged with following too closely, after police say he rear-ended a Freightliner van driven by a Glen Burnie, Md., man on Interstate 78 in Lower Saucon Township.

According to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast, Christian M. Thomas, 34, was driving a 2002 Subaru Impreza westbound in the left lane near mile marker 64.7 when traffic slowed, and he struck the rear of the other vehicle.

Both vehicles ended up in the grass median as a result of the Sept. 9 accident, police said.

There were no injuries reported, they added.
