Borough Woman Charged with Simple Assault, Harassment

Police say Jean Cressman, 41, was involved in a domestic disturbance in her Main Street residence.

A Hellertown woman has been charged with simple assault and harassment, after police say she "slung scolding [sic] hot food" at someone in her residence at 167 Main Street April 19.

Police say they were dispatched to 167 Main Street at about 7pm April 19, and after an investigation arrested Jean Cressman, 41, on charges stemming from what they classified as a domestic dispute.

Police say the food Cressman allegedly threw at her victim caused burns.

Cressman was later released on $8,000 unsecured bail, according to police.
