Borough Police Bust Alleged Underage Drinking Party

The discovery of an underage drinking party in Hellertown began when officers patrolling Harris Street observed "a large group of juveniles" at the rear of 660 Main St. early on the morning of July 15, police said in a press release Monday.

When HPD officers approached, "the group fled into the rear of the residence," police said.

It was then that the officers allegedly "observed that it was (an) underage party with alcohol and marijuana usage."

After police obtained permission to enter the home, they say they found:

• 56 grams of marijuana
• Vicodin
• A digital scale and "other various drug paraphernalia" in the possession of two juveniles
• Alcohol

Police said the tenants of the residence, who were identified as Eric Plantener and Sylvia Plantener, both 44--were subsequently arrested for corruption of minors, furnishing alcohol to minors and unsworn falsifications.

Police also listed underage drinking charges against the following individual attendees of the party:

• Richard Snyder III, 18, of the 300 block of March Boulevard, Phillipsburg, N.J.
• Michael Vanya, 18, of the first block of Church Street, Bloomsbury, N.J.
• Owen Summers, 18, of Bloomsbury, N.J.
• Robert Howell, 18, of Bloomsbury, N.J.
• Joseph Moyer, 18, of the first block of Route 519, Phillipsburg, N.J.
• Ryan Grzeszkiewicz, 18, of the 200 block of Shimer Boulevard, Phillipsburg, N.J.
• Jason Bohem, 18, of the 100 block of Willow Grove Road, Stewartsville, N.J.
• Dominick Manochio, 18, of the 100 block of Hulshizer Avenue, Stewartsville, N.J.
• Domenico Finamore, 19, of the 200 block of Knoll View Drive, Phillipsburg, N.J.
• Randolph Armstrong, 18, of the 100 block of Washington Street, Phillipsburg, N.J.
• Dustin Burns, 19, of the first block of Route 519, Phillipsburg, N.J.
• Bryan Gara, 18, of the 100 block of Riverview Road, Phillipsburg, N.J.
• Molly Greig, 18, of the 500 block of Schley Avenue, Alpha, N.J.

In total, police said nine juveniles and 14 adults--including those named above--were charged with underage drinking.

Two other juveniles were charged with possession with intent to deliver (marijuana), possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia in addition to underage drinking, police said.
