Source: Pipe Bomb Found in Car at L. Saucon Collision Center

A Patch reader said some residents of the Old Philadelphia Pike area reported hearing two small explosions early this morning.

Rich Rolen, who oversees the Lehigh Valley Breaking News Facebook page—which first reported bomb squad activity at an automobile collision center on Old Philadelphia Pike in Lower Saucon Township early Saturday—said the response occurred after a pipe bomb was reportedly found in a car that had been towed there.

Rolen said he received that information from a trusted source.

Patch reader Lori Stinner said on Facebook that some residents of the area reported hearing "two small explosions."

The bomb squad reportedly arrived at the scene at around 1 a.m., and a Facebook poster on the LVBN page said they and police left sometime over an hour later.

Many other commenters expressed concern and asked "What is going on?"
