Block Watch Meeting Planned for April 24

The Hellertown Block Watch will host Northampton County Emergency Management Director Robert Mateff as its guest speaker at its Wednesday, April 24 meeting.

Northampton County Emergency Management Director Robert Mateff will be the guest speaker at the Wednesday, April 24, 2013 meeting of the Hellertown Block Watch, the borough's police department announced in a news release.

A county emergency management response vehicle/mobile command center will also be on site for viewing.

An advance meeting agenda lists a discussion of crime statistics and comments by Hellertown Police Chief Robert Shupp.

The public meeting will be held on the second floor of Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St., at 7 p.m.

The block watch typically meets on a bi-monthly basis, and is led by Hellertown Patrolman Tim Piotrowski.
