Bags of Marijuana Allegedly Found Following Traffic Stop

Lower Saucon Township Police say they found "baggies" containing marijuana following a Jan. 8 traffic stop on Applebutter Road.

According to Lower Saucon Township Police, a Jan. 8 vehicle stop on Applebutter Road led to the seizure of "multiple baggies of marijuana, (drug) paraphernalia and alcohol."

In a press release, police said a vehicle driven by Olivia Caffrey, 18, of the 3100 block of Florian Street, Palmer Township, was stopped at 10:46pm for a traffic violation.

"During the vehicle stop an officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the car," according to authorities, who said Caffrey denied that there were any drugs in the car.

Police said a search warrant was obtained and executed in order to search the vehicle, which allegedly led to the discovery of the marijuana and other items.

In addition to Caffrey, police said two other individuals who were in the vehicle have been charged with possession of marijuana.

Police identified those individuals as Sarah Romich, 18, of the first block of Logan Drive, Palmer Township, and Dwayne Wolfe, 20, of the first block of Sawmill Road, Broge, Pa.

A search Warrant at 11pm? For a roadside stop? For marijuana? It's Alil far fetched that they got a Warrant that late and made a 18 year old girl wait on the side of the road. How long did she wait there? Aren't there real criminals to go after and if there isn't, stop harassing locals because your bored and thank God that your a police officer in a good area with little to do.

How does a smell warrant a warrant? Stop creating criminals. What did they do wrong? I'm sure Bethlehem has some real issues that need some more man power. Leave our kids alone!
