Another Purse Theft Reported at Polk Valley Park

This is the third purse theft from a vehicle reported in the area in about a month.

Lower Saucon police are urging residents to be vigilant when visiting local parks, in the wake of another reported purse theft from a vehicle at .

According to police, on the evening of June 22 an unknown person or persons broke into a vehicle parked near the Polk Valley Park dog park and removed a purse, a cell phone and an iPod. 

Police said they have no suspects in the incident at this time.

, and . The woman and her husband were on a walk when that incident allegedly occurred, and Hellertown police have asked anyone with information about the purse theft to contact them at 610-759-2200.

Lower Saucon police stated in their June 27 press release about the most recent incident that "all those that use (Polk Valley Park) should be vigilant and report suspicious persons to the police immediately."

All three purse thefts have been reported during the evening hours and within close proximity to each other.

The Walnut Street entrance to the Saucon Rail Trail is a little less than a mile from the entrance to Polk Valley Park.
