Alleged Fugitive Captured in Hellertown
Hellertown Police say Manuel O. Garcia, 28, of the 900 block of Mechanic Street, Bethlehem, was taken into custody in the 1700 block of Main Street early Thursday.
Hellertown Police say a Bethlehem man wanted by authorities in Passaic County, N.J., was taken into custody in the 1700 block of Main Street shortly after midnight Thursday.
In a news release, police said Manuel O. Garcia, 28, of the 900 block of Mechanic Street, was arrested following a traffic stop.
Garcia was arraigned before District Judge Patricia Romig-Passaro and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $30,000, pending extradition to New Jersey by the Passaic County Sheriff's Office, police said.
