Alleged Florida Fugitive Arrested

Lower Saucon Township Police say Trisha Serrao, 33, was wanted for grand theft by Florida authorities. Serrao was arrested Sept. 7.

An earlier published version indicated that Trisha Serrao was arrested in Freemansburg, but she was arrested at the office of Northampton County magistrate David Tidd. According to a story published by the Express-Times, Serrao was arrested after she arrived for a preliminary hearing on charges of theft, forgery and receiving stolen property.

A woman who was wanted by Florida authorities on an active warrant for grand theft was arrested in Lower Saucon Township Friday, township police announced in a weekend press release.

According to police, officers learned that Trisha Serrao, 33, was wanted on an active warrant out of Broward County.

Serrao had been living at 135 Madison St., Apt. 2, Freemansburg, police said.

After Serrao was taken into custody on fugitive from justice charges, police said she was arraigned before and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
