Alleged CVS Thief Arrested in New York

Police say Paris Jackson, 45, of Massapequa, N.Y., was a member of a theft ring that last year targeted numerous CVS stores in the Lehigh Valley, including one in Hellertown.

A man who was allegedly part of a theft ring that targeted CVS stores throughout the Lehigh Valley and the northeastern U.S. was recently arrested in New York state, the Express-Times reported Monday.

Paris Jackson, 45, of Massapequa, N.Y., was arrested on a warrant obtained by Bethlehem police and was arraigned Friday in Easton, the story indicated.

Jackson, who was allegedly one of three members of the theft ring, was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Among the local stores the gang allegedly targeted was the Hellertown , from which they allegedly stole items on Oct. 13, 2011.

The other suspects authorities are seeking are reportedly Mark Hoousendove, of New York, and an unidentified woman.

According to police and court records cited in the Express-Times story, authorities believe the trio robbed four different Bethlehem CVS stores in December 2011, as well as a CVS in Pennsburg, Montgomery County.

They are also suspected in thefts from CVS stores in Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, according to the story.
