About 1800 Feet of Copper Wire Stolen, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township police say the wire was removed from electrical poles belonging to PPL.

PPL Electric Utilities recently reported the theft of approximately 1800 feet of copper wiring from electrical poles in Lower Saucon Township and Bethlehem, township police said July 20.

After meeting with PPL officials July 14, police say they learned that the wiring was removed from a line of poles starting at a location along Mountain Drive North and extending into south Bethlehem.

Police did not provide an estimated value for the wire or a timeframe within which the theft may have occurred.
