17-Year-Old Cited for Alleged Cough Syrup Theft

Police say the male juvenile stole a bottle of Nyquil from the Lower Saucon Township Giant supermarket on April 12.

Lower Saucon Township police have cited a 17-year-old male juvenile from Upper Saucon Township for retail theft, after an investigation revealed that he allegedly took a bottle of Nyquil cough syrup valued at $10.97 from the Giant supermarket in the township's Creekside Marketplace shopping center early on the morning of April 12.

According to a news release, police obtained a photo of the juvenile and a photo of his vehicle on the date of the alleged theft.

He was cited April 18, after he was identified by a Lower Saucon police officer who observed a vehicle matching the vehicle in the photo, police said.
