Turning Steel City Inti Dump Land
I am a resident of Lower Saucon for most of my life. Although, I no longer live in Steel City my parents ,sister,brother- in- law and Aunt are still residing there. I feel Steel City has always been an afterthought for Lower Saucon, but to allow the landfill to expand into the resident's daily lives for monetary gain is the icing on the cake. I think the zoning board committee should have to pitch a tent in the backyard of the Steel City residents that not only hear the racket caused by the landfill, but also have to smell it day in and day out before their vote can be counted. Lord knows the health risks involved, the Landfill Powers that be say there are no health risk, but alas, hindsight is 20/20. I certainly hope the Lower Saucon Council isn't as easily swayed to permanently destroy the natural beauty of nature for a temporary monetary gain that is not absolutely needed. Unfortunately,I've been to a few of the previous meetings,so I won't hold my breath for common sense to prevail.
